Marriott has introduced a global ‘Love Travel Agents’ campaign to recognise and build awareness of the travel trade among consumers.
The campaign, which was launched at a trade show in Las Vegas last week, has seen the introduction of a dedicated website marriott.com/travelagents. Agents can download Love Travel Agents material, which they can place in their window displays to appeal to consumers.
The campaign also includes training for the Marriott sales team on how to make the most of their relationships with agents.
The sales team will undergo virtual tutorials and training sessions, set up meetings with local agents and establish partnerships with travel agent associations to help strengthen ties with the trade.
“Marriott has always understood the value travel agents bring to customers during the selection and reservation process,” said vice-president of global sales intermediaries Julius Robinson. “We want to find innovative and and unique ways to leverage our relationship with the agent community.”
