RCI to introduce agents’ training scheme

Timeshare exchange company RCI is to embark on its first agents’ training programme with partner Seligo to help independent retailers sell the product.


The move follows the signing of a two-year deal with Seligo to sell timeshare through a 32-page brochure distributed to agents. Retailers can earn commission on selling week-long trial holidays with bonus commission of 8% on any timeshare sale in resort. Destinations include Spain, Florida and the Canaries (Travel Weekly February 10). The training will cover how timeshare works and the exchange mechanism that allows customers to swap their timeshare week for one in another resort.


Meanwhile, RCIEurope executive director Steve Allen said the company was also talking to other large agency chains about selling the product. He said an announcement would be made in the next few weeks.
