Thomas Cook has confirmed it has dismissed a call-centre boss following an alleged gay sex assault at an awards ceremony in Scotland.
Scottish newspaper the Sunday Mail reported the incident happened at a Thomas Cook event at Airth Castle Hotel near Falkirk in November.
A Thomas Cook spokesman said: “We can confirm that an employee was dismissed following an incident at a private event in November, but we are unable to comment further since this is now a matter for the police.”
The Sunday Mail report revealed the Scottish Crown Office, which handles prosecutions, is considering whether to take the case further.
A spokesman for the Crown Office was unavailable for comment due to the Scottish bank holiday today.
