Barrhead Travel staff took to the streets of Glasgow in a run to raise funds for safe water charity Just a Drop
The run began at the Barrhead Travel Newton Mearns branch and finished at the Barrhead Main Street branch, mirroring the same 6km distance many in developing countries have to travel every day for clean water.
The team raised total funds for their headline project, The Buwambo Health Centre in Uganda, to £6,200 in the World Water Day challenge.
The company has set a £23,000 fund raising target for the health centre, which caters for an estimated 40,000 people.
Barrhead Travel president Jacqueline Dobson said: “I’m so proud of the team who braved the rain and ran over four miles on World Water Day to help achieve this year’s target for Just a Drop.
“The support and donations from the whole Barrhead team have been wonderful, on World Water Day and on every other day where we push to help improve the lives of those who do not have sufficient access to fresh water or sanitation facilities. The team’s consistent commitment is admirable.”
The agency group previously raised £9,000 for Just a Drop to install a fresh water tank in a primary school at Songeni in Kenya.
