n eurostar launches direct link to futuroscope



Eurostar launches a direct service to Futuroscope in May, making the theme park more accessible to the UK market. At present, UK passengers have to change trains in Paris and take a French TGV service to Poitiers, and then a 10-15min transfer to the park.



n theme park to show race for atlantis



Futuroscope will be showing the much-acclaimed 3-D film Race for Atlantis from next spring in its new IMAX Pavilion. In July and August the theme park will host the second International Video Game Festival.



n parc asterix opens first on-site hotel



Parc Asterix has opened its first on-site hotel, the three-star Hotel Des Hiboux. Bridge Travel Service is offering packages to the log-cabin-styled complex next year from £106 per person per night, including bed and breakfast and sea crossings, although children are free. Park entrance costs an extra £18 for adults and £13 for children.



n disneyland paris prepares halloween season



Disneyland Paris has launched its Halloween season which runs until November 7. The park’s Frontierland has been transformed into a haunted ghost town with activities including face painting and costume and mask making. There are two Halloween parties on the evenings of October 30-31 which cost £14 for those buying Disney’s Halloween packages. These cost from £260 per adult and £110 per child and includes two nights at the Newport Bay Club hotel, breakfast, travel by Eurostar and theme-park passes.
