Safari Travel, formerly of 2 Station Road, Hetton-Le-Hole, Tyne and Wear ceased trading from February 2 and cannot meet its liabilities.
Any retail or non-licensable claims arising from the failure for bookings made before December 22, which was when the company was terminated from ABTA membership, will be handled by CEGA, ABTA’s claims handling partner.
The company operated as a travel agent with a small non-licensable tour operation.
