TOURISM to Vietnam gets a boost at the end of this month when Thai Airways launches flights from Bangkok to Danang, gateway to the resort area of China Beach. Thai will offer three flights a week to Danang from October 31.
The new service, which leaves Bangkok on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings, will make it easier for UK travellers to combine Thailand and Vietnam in a single holiday.
China Beach, which has a luxury resort, provides visitors to Bangkok with an alternative to the Thai coastal resorts.
Thai will also upgrade its thrice-weekly Bangkok service to Krabi to a daily service. The airline launched the route last July to open up Krabi to a wider market.
