Abta’s director of financial protection John de Vial has raised more than £11, 000 for charity after completing his sixth consecutive marathon for the Family Holiday Association.
In total he has raised £75,00 of his £100,000 target for the charity, which helps some of the most deprived children and their families take a holiday in the UK.
De Vial’s best time was five years ago crossing the finish line in five hours, one minute and 26 seconds, but he said he is getting “slower every year!”
He trains every day by walking or jogging to Tonbridge railway station and on his way to work at Abta’s head office in London Bridge.
