Former Thomas Cook marketing chief joins bingo firm

Thomas Cook’s former group marketing director Jamie Queen as joined the UK’s largest retail bingo operator Buzz Bingo.

Queen left the travel company last month in an overhaul of its marketing division announced in February.

He has been recruited by the rebranded former Gala Leisure  in the newly created role of chief commercial officer, leading the brand’s marketing as well as its gaming, food and drink operations, marketing and advertising website The Drum reported.

Queen worked for Thomas Cook at UK and group level for five years in a range of senior marketing and e-commerce roles.

Buzz Bingo has 119 bingo clubs and provides a range of activities including bingo, gaming machines and food and beverage.

Queen reports to chief executive Chris Matthews.
