A homeworker is hoping to bag bookings after reaching hundreds of thousands of radio listeners by calling Kiss to champion the role of agents.
Not Just Travel consultant Ushma Valerio proved luxury travel “doesn’t have to break the bank” by quoting a £4,700 Maldives trip for two on air.
The agent from Edgbaston, Birmingham, heard the radio presenters Tom and Daisy discussing what they’d do with the winnings of a £40,000 prize draw.
Valerio said: “They said they wanted to go on holiday to the Maldives but that it would take up all the £40,000 prize money, and I thought, that’s not correct, I’m going to put them right!”
She said: “As a Not Just Travel consultant I know we can provide that luxury holiday with a full concierge service for much less than they said. Luxury travel doesn’t have to break the bank”.
The quote included return economy flights with Emirates from Stansted to Male via Dubai, departing September 8. Valerio added that Gatwick flights were available for £3 more. She quoted seven nights at five-star SAii Lagoon Maldives in an overwater Ocean View Villa on a B&B basis.
Valerio said she hoped the publicity on Kiss, which averages four million listeners a week, would stimulate enquiries.
