FOUR hotels in the Manchester region have won the coveted Green Globe, the highest accolade in sustainable tourism, presented by the World Travel and Tourism Council.
The Marriott Manchester Hotel and Country Club, the city’s Castlefield Hotel, Bury-based Boardman self-catering holiday cottages and Jarvis International in Bolton won the prestigious awards in recognition of their work in improving the environmental performance of their properties.
The four properties have implemented a number of environmental measures, meeting tough international standards set by the WTTC.
