Luke Hansford has been named as regional sales director for Wales by cottages.com.
He will oversee a five-strong team of business development managers and a portfolio of more than 1,700 rental properties in the country.
Bookings for luxury properties in Wales are up 11% year-on-year with areas like Gwynedd and Anglesey are seeing growth of 38% and 15% respectively.
Demand for properties with hot tubs is also up by 39% in Pembrokeshire and 16% Ceredigion.
Hansford first joined cottages.com in 2012 as a regional manager before becoming a development manager for sister brand Hoseasons and later at Landal GreenParks UK, which is also part of parent company Awaze.
He played an integral part in the opening of five new Landal GreenParks locations in the UK.
Cottages.com property recruitment vice president Shelley D’Arcy said: “We are delighted that Luke has ‘returned to his roots’ at cottages.com.
“His hard work, dedication and results across other roles within Awaze UK means that he is not only in a strong position to lead growth in Wales, but will undoubtedly provide astute business support and expert advice to local property owners and those considering holiday letting.”
