Travel 2 is strengthening its reservations team with 39 recruits set to join by August.
A total of 24 new employees are currently undergoing seven weeks of intensive destination training before joining the team while a further 15 members of staff are scheduled to join in July. There are currently 110 members of staff on the team.
Managing director Andy Freeth said although average call waiting times were currently under 40 seconds, he hopes the new recruits will bring times down further.
“We want the Travel 2 reservations team to be the best in the business, supporting agents with speed and in-depth destination knowledge,” he said.
“Our new recruits are undergoing a rigorous seven-week training programme including five exams on destinations around the world.
“We also endeavour to offer them first-hand experience with fam trips and discounted travel to ensure we grow their first-hand knowledge.”
