Police have arrested a man suspected of being behind the bomb plot in New York.
Faisal Shahzad is accused of driving the car bomb, which consisting of petrol, propane, fireworks and fertiliser, into Times Square on Saturday evening.
He was arrested at John F Kennedy airport attempting to board a flight to Dubai and is scheduled to appear in court later today.
Meanwhile New York police are continuing to hunt for other suspects while the city returns to normal. The bomb was discovered and dismantled before it could explode in what would have been a considerable fireball.
