Protests force suspension of BA strike talks

Police have escorted BA boss Willie Walsh from the Acas building in London as protestors stormed the building where talks with Unite were taking place.

The Socialist Worker protest demanding a stop to cuts and a right to work saw around 100 people mount a noisy protest outside the building.

Some demonstrators were said to have broken in through a side entrance forcing the talks to be suspended.

BA had hoped to reach an agreement with BA over planned strike action on Monday. Talks are set to resume tomorrow in a secret venue to avoid a repeat of tonight’s scenes.
