Win a nine-day India trip as Explore’s ‘Adventure Apprentice’

Do you have itchy feet? Do you long to get out from behind that desk and go off on one of those exciting trips you keep booking for your clients?

Well, here is your chance. Explore is offering you the opportunity to win a trip to India and pick up new skills into the bargain. The winner will be shadowing one of Explore’s expert tour leaders on its Moghul Highlights trip to find out what their job involves.

Tour leaders can make or break a holiday. They need to be enthusiastic, patient, calm in a crisis and have a large dollop of common sense. If that sounds like you,
you’re in with a decent shot of being a serious contender.

But you need to act now. The closing date for the first stage of the competition is next Friday, June 4.

By then, you will need to have visited explore.co.uk/adventureapprentice and filled in 10 easy questions about worldwide destinations and Explore as a company to
get through the first stage of the contest.

All those who answer correctly will be emailed five scenarios that Explore tour leaders face on a day-to-day basis.

The three agents who come up with the best responses will be put through their paces in a final boardroom-style showdown, where Explore’s very own version of Alan Sugar will tell you if you’re hired or fired.

The prize

After a day of tour-leader training at Explore HQ in Farnborough, the lucky winner will be whisked off to India by Jet Airways on October 16 on Explore’s nine-day Moghul Highlights tour.

They will get the chance to see the bustling streets of Delhi, Jaipur’s stunning palaces and forts, rural Rajasthan and even the jewel in India’s crown, the Taj Mahal. The winner will also be shadowing Explore’s expert tour leader.

The two runners-up will win £250 of Explore vouchers each, and there will be 25 consolation prizes of Explore Adventure Packs for those who get through the first round of questions correctly.
