Flybe has broken into the top 100 of the UK’s biggest private companies.
The regional carrier is placed at 98th in the annual Sunday Times Deloitte Top Track 100 league table.
The Exeter-based airline, which was placed in the top 250 the previous year, has climbed the table after reporting an eight per cent rise in sales to £577 million, carrying 7.3 million passengers and generating a profit of £24 million in the last 12 months.
CEO and chairman Jim French said: “Being included in the Top Track 100 for the first time is a great achievement for Flybe and the fact that we are the only company in it from Devon and Cornwall is an even bigger thrill.
“We’re proud to be a regional champion and look forward to many more years of growth that supports the local Exeter economy.”
