Hays Travel North West has opened its 38th store.
The new agency in Northwich, Cheshire, creates six jobs and is the latest opening on the agency chain’s quest to hit 50 branches by the end of 2020.
Around £70,000 has been spent on transforming the former shoe shop, which includes a Bureau de Change.
Retail sales director Lindsey Barber said: “We have been keen on opening a new store in Northwich for some time because it is an attractive town with a strong community which suits our business perfectly.
“It’s a very pretty, timber-framed building which is part of the historic fabric of Northwich’s high street and we are looking forward to becoming an integral part of the community and its retail scene.”

Hays Travel Northwich’s new manager, Rebekah Gate, grew up in Hartford, close to Northwich. She said: “I am looking forward to welcoming our customers and booking their holidays for them. I feel sure I will be seeing lots of familiar faces and it will be nice to meet some new people too.”
Gate, who has 11 years’ experience in the industry, added: “The feedback from our customers has been fantastic. They have been very impressed with the look of the store because it is so bright, modern and welcoming.
“As an independent travel agency, we can offer holidays from a huge range of different providers and tour operators and work with customers to find the exact holiday which fits their budget.”
Hays Travel North West changed its name from Just Go when the UK’s largest independent agency Hays Travel took a 40% stake in 2015. It is part of the Hays Travel Independence Group consortium.
