Club Med will open its first Canadian resort, Québec Charlevoix, on December 5, 2020.
Located an hour from Québec City, the £99 million all-inclusive hotel will feature 302 family and double rooms and 25 suites with views of the Saint Lawrence River.
The ski-in ski-out mountain resort will be open year-round offering skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and sledding in the winter and summer activities including bike trails and guided hiking.
Estelle Girardeau, managing director of Club Med UK and Northern Europe said “We’re thrilled to be revealing select room renderings and giving guests a more intimate look at the resort.”
The hotel will use locally-sourced wood, stone and tile and the resort is working to achieve Breeam certification (building research establishment environment assessment method).
The resort is also aiming for Green Globe certification, and is partnering with Solucycle, a food waste management company, to implement a sustainable system turning waste into green energy or compost.
Agents will be able to book rooms from January 2020 and earn commission.
