Travelport has renewed a deal to operate as the preferred Global Distribution System partner for travel agency consortium TTA Worldchoice.
The GDS has worked with Worldchoice for nine years and the new deal incorporates the TTA travel agent members following the two consortium’s merger two years ago.
Travelport will provide TTA Worldchoice’s membership of 800 businesses, with the technology and support of both Worldspan and Galileo platforms.
Jérôme Moisan, Travelport’s UK general manager, said: “The extension of our existing agreement to include TTA members will open up doors for us and in turn we will offer access to rich content, intuitive tools and a high level of support that can improve agents’ workflow processes and add value to their customers.”
Steve Clark, TTA Worldchoice group commercial director, added positive feedback from its agents had influenced its decision to renew and expand its existing agreement with Travelport.
