Turkish Airlines deployed a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Heathrow for the first time yesterday (Monday).
The new generation aircraft serving the airline’s Istanbul hub features new business and economy class in-flight service.
The business class cabin includes a new 1-2-1 layout, with seats which convert into flat beds giving 44 inches of leg room and an 18 inch HD screen.
Turkish Airlines’ London general manager, Celal Baykal, said: “The Dreamliner is our new flagship aircraft and we’re delighted to be able to offer passengers the chance to fly on it.
“The London to Istanbul route is amongst the busiest in our network and one we’ve been operating for almost 50 years, welcoming hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers and business travellers during that time.”
