Tourism Australia adds luxury training

Tourism Australia has added a new luxury module to its Aussie Specialist online training programme.

The module is designed to grow agents’ knowledge of high-end product and includes training on luxury spas, cruising, accommodation and eco lodges and is available to all qualified Aussie specialists.

To promote the new module, the tourist board will enter each agent completing it before the end of August into a draw with the winner winning a meal for two at The Ledbury in London.

Rodney Harrex, Tourism Australia’s general manager for UK/Europe, said: “The module will help raise awareness of what makes Australia unique as a destination.

“It’s not just about luxury accommodation; luxury can be about space and solitude in exceptionally beautiful places or an immersive adventure led by an expert with fantastic local knowledge.”

All modules are free to study and are available at aussiespecialist.com. Around 1,100 agents are currently in training on the programme.
