Agencies snap up tickets for ‘biggest celebration of the year’

Demand for Northern Ball tickets has rocketed after Co-op, Tui Travel, Hays Travel, TTA Worldchoice and Global confirmed their agents would be attending.

The glittering party and networking event, which will take place at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on September 14, has been given a facelift to incorporate themed entertainment marking the four decades since Travel Weekly was founded.

British Airways, Gold Medal Travel, Silversea Cruises and Virgin Holidays are headline sponsors for the bash – with plans for a spectacular line-up of entertainment being kept a closely guarded secret.

The look and feel of the event has also been revamped, with fancy dress and sparkling party wear replacing the traditional black-tie dress code. The best-dressed agents will win some incredible prizes courtesy of the sponsors.

Travel Weekly editor Lucy Huxley described the Northern Ball as “simply the biggest agent celebration of the year”, and confirmed more than 200 agents had already signed up.

“The Northern Ball is a great opportunity for suppliers to meet and reward some of the very best agents in the country, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that this year’s completely revamped event is proving to be the hottest ticket in town,” she added.

Other suppliers already signed up to support the event include Travel Trade Recruitment, Attraction World and Shearings Holidays.

Table sales and individual tickets are selling fast. To make sure you don’t miss out, go to northernball.co.uk.
