Travel Counsellors, Holiday Extras and Cheapflights are among the travel companies which have made shortlists in the National Business Awards.
Other travel industry finalists include the InterContinental Park Lane, Starwood, the Glasgow Marriott and forex providers World First.
Travel Counsellors will be competing in the Blackberry Customer Focus Award for Small Business, while Holiday Extras competes in the Blackberry Customer Focus Awards. Cheapflights has made two shortlists, including 3i Private Business of the Year.
Judges said Travel Counsellors’ business model and ongoing business achievements were central to its performance.
“The idea of a personal travel counsellor available 24/7 offering expert advice and support services delivered to the highest international standards is the proposition upon which the company’s continuing record of success is based,” they said.
The National Business Awards are sponsored by Orange and the winners are announced in November.
