Former Travelzest finance director Colin McKinlay is to rejoin his former boss Chris Mottershead as an employee of Tui Travel.
While the latter is now settling in Moscow to run the travel giant’s Russian business following a spell in Canada, McKinlay will be based at Tui’s Luton headquarters.
He has been appointed finance director reporting into new UK managing director Johan Lundgren from October, when current UK boss Dermot Blastland leaves the post. He replaces David Taylor in the role, who is moving to work on a group project.
An official announcement of McKinlay’s appointment is due to be made tomorrow. He joins from Homeserve Membership, where he was also finance director.
Tui Travel said: “McKinlay has a wealth of experience, to bring to the business, both in the travel sector and as a finance director. Tui UK looks forward to welcoming Colin to the business.”
McKinlay previously worked for the My Travel Group for nine years working his way up to the position of chief financial officer of My Travel UK.
He then went on to be the chief financial officer at Thomas Cook UK and Ireland, before moving to Travelzest where he was group finance director.
Mottershead took over from Michael Kimmer in October running Tui’s Russian business and its CIS brand. He had previously been in charge of integration of the Sunwing joint venture in Canada.
