Birmingham is to gain a direct air link to The Gambia this winter.
Weekly Wednesday flights to Banjul organised by operator The Gambia Experience will run from December 18 until April 22, 2020.
Package prices from Birmingham to the West African country lead in at £549 per person for seven nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation.
New cruise holidays are available this winter, exploring the waterways of the River Gambia.
Multi-centre trips embracing wildlife and beach resorts plus neighbouring Senegal are also being offered.
The Gambia Experience product manager Karen Durham said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of a direct Birmingham route to our Gambia programme and just in time for the popular Christmas period.

Birmingham airport aviation director Tom Screen added: “This direct weekly flight from Birmingham gives customers the chance to immerse themselves in a beachfront holiday amongst stunning surroundings or enjoy a safari adventure.”
