TENERIFE specialist Club Travel 2000 is packaging its summer 2000 programme on a CD-ROM through selected travel agents.

The move will enable agents to produce personalised pages from the brochure and market the product to their own needs.

The CD-ROM will be sent to the operator’s top 100 retailers along with file copies of the new brochure in early October.

Marketing manager John Cooper said the innovation will give retailers flexibility in promoting the brochure.

“By harnessing technology readily available to agents, we are offering them a new and incisive method with which to present our product,” he said.

“It also gives agents the flexibility to manipulate our brochure to satisfy their own marketing needs, be that through technology such as Internet sites, or traditional printed flyers for group offers.”

Pages from the brochure can be downloaded, overbranded and republished on Internet sites, added Cooper.

The operator has expanded the new programme to include Minorca and added departures to Tenerife and Malaga from Stansted.

The operator also confirmed the inclusion of a Newcastle to Malaga flight.

“Malaga is a natural addition for us given the success of our existing programme to Tenerife from Newcastle,” said Cooper.

He added the company’s future strategy is to build business from regional airports.
