New Fairmont hotel set for Windsor Great Park

A third Fairmont hotel in the UK is to open next summer adjacent to Windsor Great Park.

The former Savill Court Hotel is undergoing a multi-million pound redevelopment and will join other Fairmout properties the Savoy in London and Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland.

The Fairmont Windsor Park will have more than 200 rooms and suites, a spa, ballroom, champagne bar, tea room and two restaurants.

The property will retain its traditional  exterior Jacobean architecture and replace the Savill Court Hotel and Spa, owned and operated by Arora Group which runs a portfolio of airport and London hotels under numerous brands.

The Windsor site is being completely redeveloped to create a property in line with Fairmont’s “globally-recognised” standards.

French hospitality giant Accor acquired Fairmont Hotels & Resorts along with the Raffles and Swissotel brands four years ago.

Accor Northern Europe chief operating officer Thomas Dubaere said: “The signing of Fairmont Windsor Park with Arora Hotels reflects our expertise in the luxury segment and is an extremely exciting addition to our luxury portfolio in the UK.

“The signing also underlines our ambitious regional expansion plans demonstrating the UK’s continued role as a key global market.”

Arora Group founder and chairman Surinder Arora added: “We are incredibly proud to bring the prestigious Fairmont brand to Arora’s growing portfolio of hotels.

“Over the last decade our estate has grown significantly, with this amazing new hotel joining our other flagship properties.

“This is so much more than a hotel – the dining options, stunning spa facilities and event spaces on offer, all set in this beautiful country location, make it an unmissable experience. We are so proud to be opening in Windsor and to have the Fairmont brand added to our portfolio.”
