Former Super Break director Chris Hagan has joined Barrhead’s Brilliant Travel division to set-up his own travel agencies.
Heathside Travel Experts has opened in the high street five miles from Derry, Northern Ireland with a team of three.
Hagan has also set-up an agency Buzz Off by Bumble and Bee in a children’s clothing store selling tailor-made family holidays and breaks.
Hagan worked for Super Break for 16 years most recently as director of product for both Super Break and Late Rooms, before the firm went into administration in August this year.
“Having started my career in a travel agency, I decided it was the right time to go back to my travel roots,” Hagan said.

“I spoke to most consortia in the market and was most impressed by the friendliness, simplicity and commercial offer which Brilliant Travel proposed. The decision was quite straightforward.”
Brilliant Travel director Linda Pyle said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Chris and his team to our Brilliant Travel family.
“His dual agency concept is exciting and our focus on dynamic packaging will work really well for his business which focuses on bespoke and tailor-made itineraries.”
Brilliant Travel is Barrhead’s homeworking and Managed Service Travel Partner (MSTP) division.
Last month, Pyle revealed Brilliant would have 50 MSTPs and 48 homeworkers by January 1, 2020, up from a total of 69 in November 2018.
She said the division would be targeting a further 10-15 new members next year.
