An air link between Cardiff and Cornwall, cutting out lengthy road or rail journeys, is being established in the new year.
Regional airline Air Southwest is starting daily flights from Newquay to the Welsh city on January 4 with prices starting at £39 including taxes and charges.
The Plymouth-based airline’s commercial director Mike Coombes said: “Our flights are ideal for a short break and shave more than three hours off the equivalent journey by road.”
Cardiff airport managing director Patrick Duffy said: “The service offers a real alternative to the long journeys by rail and road which is good news for both leisure and business passengers in South Wales and Cornwall.”
