A new chief financial officer has been confirmed by British Airways to replace Keith Williams who is stepping up to become chief executive following the airline’s merger with Iberia.
Nick Swift, currently chief financial officer at bus and rail operator Go-Ahead Group, is to join the airline on March 7, 2011.
Swift, who has been at Go-Ahead since 2007, was formerly a financial reporting manager at Air New Zealand.
The changes will come into place in the wake of BA’s £5.6 billion all share merger with the Spanish carrier which will see current chief executive Willie Walsh step up to head the combined airlines’ parent company.
