Advantage Travel Centres and Midconsort agents have agreed an overbrand deal with Eurotunnel for its Motoring Holidays brochure.
The cross-channel operator said its short-break package commissions have proved popular with agents who have witnessed a boom in demand for trips to mainland Europe.
Eurotunnel, which runs its short breaks to mainland Europe in conjunction with Cresta, is also planning to launch a training programme to raise product awareness. The company would not reveal what its sales targets were when the Motoring Holidays brochure was introduced in August 1998 but said it is now boosting that target by 50%. Eurotunnel UK passenger marketing and sales director Peter Stratton said: “The popularity of France has caught a lot of people by surprise this year.
“Predictions for next year are also very good.”
