Top 10 of 2010: Travel Weekly’s most-read stories of the year

Collapses, strikes, mergers, weather and volcanoes – this year has certainly been eventful.

Unusually, many of the year’s biggest stories happened during the summer, a traditionally quiet period for news. Seven of our ten most-read stories come from the summer period, and five of those seven from August.

As we go into 2011, let’s hope the coming 12 months are just as exciting, but that the stories that make the news are more positive for the travel industry. You can add your comments on our list below, or discuss it on the travelhub forums.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from everyone on the Travel Weekly team.
