Tour operator Diamond Shortbreak’s former finance director has been sentenced to more than three years in prison after pleading guilty to a string of fraud offences.
Jamie Tann, 38, of Savernake Drive, Corby, moved a total of £685,648 from company accounts to accounts controlled by him – and left 10,000 holidaymakers without bookings.
He had falsified records for the company, which is based in Market Harborough, in order to misrepresent their public financial position between March 2015 and January 2017.
His actions left Diamond Shortbreak Holidays Limited in administration and staff out of work.

Tann appeared at Leicester Crown Court last October where he pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by false representation, three counts of false accounting, and one count of perverting the course of justice.
On Friday February 28 he was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
Detective constable Aaron Horn, who led the investigation, said: “Jamie Tann’s actions caused such financial loss to the company that it put them into administration, leaving a significant number of people unemployed.
“It left 10,000 holiday makers with no bookings, who had to make claims against credit card companies to get their money back.
“Tann held a position of responsibility at Diamond and was entrusted to protect the company’s interests. Tann abused this trust when he caused money to be taken from the company accounts leaving the company with no chance to recover from the losses suffered.
“Although Tann had made significant efforts to prevent his fraud and its extent being discovered, our investigation was able to evidence his actions leaving him with no choice to admit his guilt in court.”
