Coronavirus: Universal Orlando to close doors

Universal Orlando Resort is to shut for the rest of March.

The resort will close its doors on Sunday.

The move follows an announcement from Disney which is closing both Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World in Florida for the rest of the month.

A statement form Universal said: “Out of an abundance of caution and to assist with our nation’s preventive efforts, Universal Orlando Resort will temporarily close its theme parks.

The closure is effective at the close of business on Sunday, March 15. We anticipate remaining closed through the end of March – but will continue to evaluate the situation.”
