Avis UK has boosted its corporate sales team by recruiting eight new sales managers.
A new account manager has also been added to the car rental company’s business travel team as it gears up for growth in 2011. The sales managers will be responsible for securing new corporate clients in specific UK regions.
The newly-created roles are part of a long term plan to maintain double digit growth which the B2B arm achieved in 2010. The team will be headed by a national sales manager while seven regional managers will join the team to drive new business across the UK.
They will report to business development director Chris Longmuir. Commercial director Anthony Ainsworth said: “This is a significant growth for our corporate division and reflects not only Avis’ success last year in the B2B sector, but our commitment to continuing, and hopefully increasing, it throughout 2011.
“I am confident that this experienced team of individuals will make an immediate impact to our corporate business which is indicative of our strategy, and I eagerly look forward to working with them in the future.”
The announcement comes as Paul Clark moves from the company’s SME account development team to its business travel team as an account manager.
