It is with deep regret I write to advise you of the death of Nigel Trendell, a part-time member of the staff of this agency and well known to many in the travel trade, particularly in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Nigel had enjoyed 76 years and still worked three days a week. He took pleasure in his work and this was reflected by the high esteem in which he was held by both the clients and those with whom he worked.
Those who were privileged to know Nigel are aware we shall not see his like again and those trainees over the years to whom he acted as mentor will always be grateful for the sound basis which he laid for them and the foundation of good manners which heconsidered essential in all walks of life.
He was the epitome of the word gentleman and his death will be a source of sadness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
