Etihad Airways chief executive James Hogan has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the Guild of Travel Management Companies’ annual overseas conference in Abu Dhabi.
The 2011 GTMC conference takes place on May 13-15 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel Abu Dhabi, with Etihad as the partner airline.
GTMC chief executive Anne Godfrey said: “We are exceedingly fortunate that James Hogan is available to deliver the keynote speech, on the opening day Saturday May 14 at this year’s GTMC conference in Abu Dhabi.
“James is well known to most of our members through his past career in the UK – with Hertz, Bmi and Forte Hotels – and for the past six years he has overseen the phenomenal growth of Etihad Airways.”
She added: “Attendees include the senior executives from our member travel management companies – in many instances the owner or founder – the people who shape the UK business travel industry.”
