First Choice out in force to find top staff

FIRST Choice will have a strong presence at Travel ’99 where it is planning to recruit staff for its tour operation, in-house charter carrier Air 2000 and new retail arm Travel Choice.

Recruitment manager Ruth Stubbington said First Choice was looking for graduates, marketing trainees, administration staff, overseas representatives and children’s reps to fill vacancies.

“We have just started our recruitment drive for next summer and expect to meet a lot of potential new employees at the Travel ’99 show,” said Stubbington.

First Choice hired a number of staff following its attendance at the Travel ’98 event, including a high number of graduate trainees.

“We found last year’s fair incredibly successful and recruited a lot of people, both from here and overseas,” she added.

“We were amazed at the turnout and were swamped by job applications, and are expecting this year’s event to be far bigger.”

Stubbington said the company would also be looking for new recruits to work in its expanding retail chain, which has opened 30 Travel Choice shops this year.
