Greece takes over shopping centre

Having taken over the banks of the Thames last year Greece is making itself at home in Westfield shopping centre in 2011.

For eight days from this Saturday the Shepherds Bush centre will host a 1.000 square metre Greek theme park on the ground floor.

All activities will be free and will attempt to be fun and educational.

Visitors can play golf in a simulator, rock climb, explore the Greek islands via a sailing simulator and treat themselves to a relaxing spa treatment in the Thalassotherapy and Spa Center.

And on a sandy beach visitors can relax while they sample cocktails prepared by world-class mixologist, Aristotelis Papadopoulos or Greek wines recommended by a certified sommelier. Children’s offerings include a simulated archaeological dig and face painting.

Performances of songs from Mamma Mia will take place every day at 6.30pm during the week and three times per day during weekends at 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm.

There are also a variety of prizes to be won such as holidays and consoles.
