Bra entrepreneur Michelle Mone gives support to Ace

Travel agents at the UK Cruise Convention in Southampton in May will hear from one of the UK’s most high-profile businesswomen.

Michelle Mone was recently on our television screens as a participant in 71 Degrees North, the ITV programme that tested celebrities’ endurance in the frozen expanses of Norway.

But she first made her name in the world of lingerie, establishing the Ultimo brand over a decade ago.

Mone will be headline speaker for the agents’ programme on Wednesday, May 4, at the Ace convention, for which Travel Weekly is media partner.

“I’m really looking forward to speaking at the UK Cruise Convention,” Mone said.

“As a businesswoman I know how important it is to always be prepared and motivated to make the most of opportunities that come along.

“That’s what conventions like this are all about and I hope to be able to do my bit to inspire the travel agents who attend.”

Ace director Flo Powell said: “I am absolutely delighted that such a hugely successful retail star will be joining us onboard Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas. With her entrepreneurial spirit, Michelle will be an inspirational speaker.”

The first day of the convention, Tuesday, May 3, is invitation-only and has been named Columbus Day. It is aimed exclusively at  owner/manager travel agents and Ace Ambassadors.

Tickets cost £150 plus VAT, for all three days. If you would like to attend, email flo@psa-ace.org. For agent registrations for May 4-5,  go to ukcruiseconvention.org. Tickets cost £95 plus VAT.
