Seabourn puts all six ships in Europe for 2012

Seabourn will deploy its entire fleet of six all-suite ships in Europe in 2012.

The luxury line will be running more seven and ten day itineraries as it seeks to attract more younger and first time passengers.

The spread of itineraries cover a record 165 destinations with cruises operating on durations of between seven and 19 days.

The extended eight-month 2012 season, from April to November, has gone on sale with sample prices starting at £2,450 per person for a seven night sailing from Athens to Istanbul on the company’s latest ship Seabourn Quest.

The overall early booking lead in rate is £1,640 per person based on double occupancy for a seven-night Rome to Athens fly-cruise on Seabourn Pride in November 2012.

EMEA vice president Andy Magowan said: “Seabourn offers guests a unique view of Europe, which is why there is demand to increase the number of itineraries we offer.

“The great news is that with more seven-10 day itineraries on offer, we are attracting a larger number of younger, age 40-plus guests and first-time cruisers experiencing Seabourn as an alternative to their usual luxury land-based holidays.”
