Longshot Golf to stickwith 10% rate

I read with interest the letter from Carolyn Lodge, managing director of Carolyn Lodge Travel (Travel Weekly September 6). The letter addressed the recent move by British Airways to introduce a flat commission payment of £35 per couple for Club Golfbookings.

Carolyn Lodge should be aware that Longshot Golf, as a premium golf tour operator which is fully supportive of the travel trade, will continue to pay commission to agents from a minimum rate of 10%.

This applies to all of the destinations featured in our new brochure for 1999/2000 and reflects our continuing commitment to working pro-actively with travel retailers – a two-way policy which benefits agents and ourselves.
