Aito Specialist Travel Agents has claimed a 13% rise in sales for Aito operators in March over the same month last year.
The increase comes via the group’s All Stars incentive scheme involving participating Aito operators.
The scheme, which rewards its agent members for booking Aito holidays, involves an ongoing league table of top booking agents.
These are rewarded with monthly prizes, as well as a luxury Caribbean fam trip for the top eight selling agents across the first half of 2011 and annual awards.
More than 30 Aito operators have signed up for the incentive scheme this year.
Aito Specialist Travel Agents chairman Oliver Broad said: “It’s fantastic to see Aito Agents buck current trends in the industry and achieve this high level of sales success in March.
“These results demonstrate that customers are increasingly choosing to book holidays with independent specialist travel agents and operators.”
He urged other independent agents to join, saying: “In what seems an increasingly competitive marketplace, there’s nothing more valuable than seeking a wider product range via our Aito partnership.
“Now is the time for independent travel agents to shine and I encourage those who are not already members to get in touch and enquire about membership.”
