Experience Travel Group offers ‘no quibble’ Covid-19 refunds

Experience Travel Group has launched a ‘Covid-19 Promise’ including ‘no quibble refunds’.

The Asia specialist operator is allowing destination, date and name changes up to one month before travel, offering a £1,000 voucher for cancelled trips and offering refunds for Covid-19 related cancellations up to the date of travel.

It hopes the move will stimulate bookings, saying its customers are keen to book but are put-off by a lack of Covid-19 cover in travel insurance policies.

The London-based tour operator’s claims its offer is an industry first in the UK, and said it applies to bookings made by travel agents – who will continue to receive commission if the holiday is cancelled as a result of Covid-19.

Sam Clark, co-founder and managing director of Experience Travel Group, said: “We have devised the Covid-19 Promise to reignite the industry after being severely impacted by Covid-19.

“We have worked with agents to ensure it works for them and enables them to provide their clients with absolute peace of mind when it comes to booking their holiday.

“The travel industry needs to begin rebuilding confidence and taking steps that can achieve this, especially given the various barriers and issues in place as result of the pandemic.

“We are confident our ‘no quibble’ Covid-19 Promise will deliver for everyone.”
