Warner Leisure Hotels delays reopening

Warner Leisure Hotels has extended the closures of its properties until July 26.

Hotels had previously been closed to July 2, with fellow Bourne Leisure brands Haven and Butlin’s closed until July 4 and July 16 respectively.

A statement from the adult-only hotel brand, which has 14 properties in the UK, said: “This date has been chosen to allow us to fully implement all our new measures for your health, safety and enjoyment – they’re at the heart of everything we do.

“It gives us the time to restock our larders, fridges and bars, rearrange furniture for social distancing, and get fresh linen on the beds. Importantly, it’ll ensure our teams are well-equipped and trained, ready to welcome everyone back in the safest possible way.”

Warner said breaks from July 27 are due to go ahead as planned, “subject to further guidance from the UK and Welsh governments” and pledged to publish updated “as soon as we know more”.
