Not Just Travel is to waive its usual £9,000 “starter fee” for its franchise package in order to attract experienced travel professionals.
The franchise group this week announced it would be creating a new division to attract existing professionals after appointing former Global Travel Group commercial director Cherie Richards as chief business development officer.
Co-founder Paul Harrison said: “During times of crisis the travel industry is renowned for pulling together and helping each other out. We want to do just that by offering the fastest way possible for people to set up their own business and start making money.

“People who’ve worked in travel have fantastic knowledge of suppliers and destinations and don’t necessarily need a lot of training. We’re offering our starter package which is normally £9000, for free to people who may need a lifeline right now”
He added: “Our sales and bookings for this year and next are up considerably – the travel bounceback has started. Anyone worried about their future is welcome to chat to us and explore the possibilities of running their own business.”
Richards said: “We are creating a business model that is new, fresh and current. We are looking for people who are professional, aspirational and looking for a new home, stability and to work with a brand they can trust. I will be putting an amazing support team and infrastructure together to ensure all our partners have the very best chance of success.”
