Travel agent Wingjet Travel ceases trading

Worldchoice travel agent consortium member agency Wingjet Travel has failed, it was announced last night.

The company was based in Takeley, Bishop’s Stortford and sold a range of arrangements from city breaks and beach holidays to cruises and ski trips. Trading as Wingjet Travel Worldchoice, it was also a member of Abta.

The association said that Wingjet ceased trading on Wednesday and was unable to meet its financial commitments. Suppliers who dealt with the agency on the ACAS payment system are being advised to contact Worldchoice.

Wingjet is the second travel agent to fold in less than a week, following Norwich-based Global Travel Lounge which had branches in Great Yarmouth and Wymondham
