Lufthansa Group has removed rebooking fees for the remainder of 2020.
The move applies to the group’s airlines including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines and has been introduced with immediate effect.
The decision means all fares can be rebooked free of charge, including lowest fares without checked baggage, though customers may incur additional costs if like-for-like options are not available when rebooking for a new date or destination.
The company said: “In response to the pandemic, the Lufthansa Group airlines previously implemented a one-off, free of charge rebooking policy.
“The Lufthansa Group airlines recognise their customers’ needs for flexible travel arrangements and this new regulation applies to all new bookings on short, medium and long-haul routes worldwide.”
