More than 150 airlines have been ranked on their Covid-19 safety credentials under a new Safe Travel Barometer.
German carrier Lufthansa topped the list, which gives each of the airlines a Safe Travel Score based on 20 health and safety measures for travellers.
Lufthansa scored 4.5 out of 5, with India’s Vistara and US carrier Delta Air Lines tied for second on 4.4.
All those in the top ten scored 4 or more out of 5.
“The fundamental premise of Safe Travel Scoreis to benchmark travel brands’ initiatives to reduce traveller anxiety,” said Virendra Jain, co-founder and chief executive of Safe Travel.
“Our independent rating centered on traveller health and safety measures establishes a baseline for travel brands, while equally offering travellers a glimpse into what they can expect in their journeys.”
